ABOUT Jess Townsend

I've spent 20+ years in the trenches of leadership, change and operations.

I'm Jess, founder of HumanSync. and an independent facilitator, advisor and fractional leader based in Tauranga.

For more than two decades I've worked with everyone from frontline teams to senior leaders, across distributed workforces, subcontractor networks and varying client environments. I've led through growth, restructures, operational pressure, changing priorities and uncertainty, balancing the constant tension between people, performance and progress.

Again and again I saw the same pattern: smart, committed people working incredibly hard, yet held back by unclear priorities, misaligned leadership and ways of working that made it harder than it needed to be to do great work.

I've learned that sustainable performance doesn't come from pressure. It comes from helping people connect to what matters most, align around a shared direction and move forward together.

That belief shaped HumanSync.

I help organisations connect people, purpose and performance so strategy, values and good intentions become everyday action. Because when people are connected to each other, connected to purpose and clear on the role they play, energy lifts, ownership grows and momentum follows.

I'm known for building trust quickly, asking the questions that matter and creating the conditions for people to surface what's really going on, align around what matters most and take meaningful action.
